I found a solution for the Shure SLXD wireless microphone system, and it worked better than I expected. Shure builds a battery eliminator called the SBC-DC-903 which is for a 2X- AAA battery system, but it just happens to fit into a SLXD1 body pack. I got the rear cover to close by notching out the SLXD1 battery cover right next to the closing latch (for the supply wire to feed through), used a standard Shure 15 volt PS(PS24US) to the battery eliminator and it worked perfectly. I was able to install in a high school gym behind a block wall (where the PA system lives), using 1/2 wave an antennas (UA8-554-590), placed the receiver on top of the rack in open air and receive perfect audio from the Shure wireless. I was prepared to mount the antennas outside of the room into gym open air but it worked so well I did not. I also took it one step further and used a Shure 262 stereo mixer which I always modify to MONO. I took the 1/4″ output using the guitar cable (WA302 ), plugged in a wired mic to the mixer, a mini-jack to mixer and a Bluetooth so at the scorer’s table they have a complete mixing system which reports wirelessly to the amp closet. I also built a custom body pack mount on the mixer which is a 10-inch-long piece of 1/8″ x 2″ flat iron mounted to the Shure mixer (using the short rack ear installed to the rear of mixer) to hold the body pack upright. This works amazingly well and has non perceptive delay- seemed nearly as good as hard wire. Winner Winner😊
