If you read my comments in previous posts regarding TV brands and my high regard for Panasonic plasma TV’s, it may come as a surprise to know that I have given them up (except one). I have a 50 inch high-end set which has the best picture of any TV I have seen in the past 5 years, built in 2008 when Panasonic was supplying glass to Pioneer for their KURO TV’s, which still today are used as reference TV’s. I replaced them with Sony TV’s from Fry’s Electronics. My friend Jerry who is without a doubt the most well-known (and liked) individual in the A/V business, suggested to me that the Sony TV has one of the best pictures on the market. And I must admit it is an astonishing, clear picture with virtually no motion issues. So if you are looking for a new TV, don’t listen to the sales people at Best Buy. Just buy a Sony.
